Some of the homschool activities in the area have ended or are winding down. Many people either cram to finish part of their curriculum before Christmas or they relax and do holiday activities and preparations. Some may incorporate Christmas or other holidays into their studies for this time of year. Whatever the case, it's a busy time. Once Christmas passes, everyone relaxes, a few new homeschool group activities come up, and winter sets in. By February many of us start to feel a bit of cabin fever. December is a time to enjoy!! It's a great time for family, friends, and the community! Embrace it and have a Merry Christmas!

The first week of October is the first busy week with homeschool groups in Lambton County. There are many activities to choose from. Between EMBRACE Lambton/Kent and the Sarnia/Lambton Homeschool Support Groups a family could get very busy. Be selective. What do your kids enjoy doing. Consider how old they are and which activities they will get the most benefit from. This is a list of some of the activities that families will be getting involved in: HighDay, field trips (pumpkin farm, Brigden Fair, Battle of the Thames), gym and swim, french class, homeschool skating, dance class, gymnastics lessons, and swimming lessons.

Some things that may be coming in the near future are Power Skating, Lego Club, Bowling Night, and Unschool Meet-Up.

Have a safe, fun, active homeschooling experience this fall!

We are still developing the site, but hope to have it done quickly. Please take the time to browse. This site was developed by a homeschooling mother from the area.

The calendar on the Yahoo Group will soon have updates. This is the time of year that activities get planned. Some of the activities in the works right now are skating, gymnastics, Lego Club, and a French Class. If you are interested in learning more about homeschooling and our activities, join our group and see the upcoming events.
